^I make the informational trifolds as culture chair!
Vietnamese Student Association

Find belonging and getting in touch with my culture has always been a goal of mine, and I was able to achieve that by finding community in Vietnamese Student Association and help others do that by becoming culture chair of the Vietnamese Student Association at Indiana University Bloomington! I teach and inform about Vietnamese culture to our members while also leading events that involve Vietnamese culture as well. This includes our recent Worlds Fare that was featured in the Indiana Daily Student, our Language Workshop, and keeping connections with IU's Asian Culture Center and the Office of International Students. Every year VSA holds a Vietnamese Culture Night where the students of IU can learn about our culture and the Vietnamese community can celebrate their own. This year we raised money for VNAH (Vietnamese Assistance for the Handicapped).

Each culture chair has their own missions on what they want to achieve, and since I'm theatre kid and a story driven person, I wanted to emphasize the individual and make culture more narrative based as a common theme throughout the year and allow our members to share their own experiences. The way we experience our culture can different for everyone, so the marketing chairs and I created an opportunity for our members to share their experiences and through something we called VSA at I(YOU).
